Came across her once on the book Born To Run. Strange how one character can fire you up and make you do things you’ve only wanted to try. So who exactly is Jenn Shelton? Aside from the fact that she’s Billy Barnett’s girlfriend in the book, she also belts out poetry from dead beat poets while out on runs. How cool is that?
Pardon me for improper introductions. She’s an ultramarathoner. They’re the shameless freaks who run beyond the 42k’s or the 50k’s. Let me emphasize the “beyond” part. Because ultramarathoners are mutants at best.
